Aarong chief receives WICCI award

Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI), a premier National Business Chamber for Women, hosted an award ceremony where 12 outstanding personalities and 3 impactful organisations of Bangladesh were presented with the prestigious WICCI awards, on the occasion of their first anniversary celebration.

Tamara Hasan Abed, managing Director of BRAC Enterprises, received The Exceptional Women of Excellence award. The event took place on Tuesday, 30th November at 6:00 pm at the Le Meridian, Dhaka. Currently, with 250,000 members and inspiring women across 120 countries, WICCI is one of the largest women’s networks with the widest outreach for global connections on women’s entrepreneurship and leadership.

Senior representatives of the Government, diplomats (including Mr. Naoki Ito, Ambassador of Japan and Mr. Vikram Kumar Doraiswami, High Commissioner of India), policy makers, bankers, business leaders, eminent women entrepreneurs and media personalities attended the event.
