Traditional dolls and toys in Bangladesh are vibrant expressions of culture, storytelling, and artisanal skill. Made from recycled fabrics, terracotta, wood, and vintage textiles, each piece reflects the imagination of rural artisans and scenes from everyday life—farming, fishing, dancing, weddings, and folklore. Many dolls are crafted from old sarees, with hair formed from coloured threads, and some mounted on wooden frames, turning playthings into ornamental artworks. Since its inception, Aarong has preserved this craft, partnering with artisans from Habiganj, Cox’s Bazar, Shariatpur, Narayanganj, and Dhaka. Today, these creations enchant children and collectors alike, bridging generations while keeping this uniquely Bangladeshi tradition alive.
