Meet our people
We often get asked how we run our social enterprise so successfully. The answer is our strong values and our position within BRAC’s holistic development eco-system that have helped create a productive outlet for the marginalized artisans while celebrating quality work. We take great pride in the people that work with us, who are undoubtedly the true spokespersons of Aarong.

Fatema Akter
Manager, Aarong Noakhali
Ms. Nishat began her Aarong journey in 2013 as a part-time Sales Associate in Sylhet and progressed through roles as Outlet Supervisor and Floor Manager. In December 2024, she became Manager at Aarong Noakhali, leading outlet operations, sales growth, and team performance. She is inspired by Aarong’s mission to empower artisans and preserve heritage. She said, “Aarong is not just about selling products, it’s about uplifting communities, especially women.” She holds a Statistics graduation and postgraduation, and an MBA in HR.

Fahad Bin Rahman
Senior Manager, Aarong E-commerce
Mr Fahad joined Aarong in 2015 as an officer and is currently the Senior Manager of Aarong E-commerce, leading the Sales and Marketing team to strengthen the brand’s digital presence, optimize online revenue, and drive strategic initiatives. With over a decade of experience at Aarong, he has held diverse roles in social compliance, operations, and business development, showcasing expertise in ethical sourcing, supply chain management, and organizational development. His experience across both backend and frontend operations has enabled him to contribute significantly to Aarong’s mission of bridging cultures and promoting ethically sourced artisanal crafts. Reflecting on his journey, he says, “Passion grows when you know your purpose. Opportunity arises when you pursue something bigger than yourself. Aarong nurtures that passion and equips you to seize opportunities beyond your limits, for a lifetime. For me, Aarong is far more than a career, it is home.”

Tasnia Kashem
Designer, Taaga
Ms Tasnia joined Aarong in 2023 as a Designer for Taaga, where she creates innovative and meaningful designs in close collaboration with skilled artisans. Since beginning her career in 2017, she has worked with leading fashion brands including Beximco Yellow and Kay kraft. Passionate about blending creativity, quality, and purpose, she believes in dreaming boldly, exploring new opportunities, and working hard to turn visions into reality. She values Aarong’s supportive and inspiring work environment, which fuels her growth and learning. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the UODA, along with a Fashion Design Diploma from Shanto-Mariam University.
