Unveiling of the World’s Largest Craft Store in Dhanmondi!

From our modest beginnings in Shukrabad, Dhanmondi, we were delighted to unveil our most ambitious project yet: the opening of the world’s largest craft store on 7 March 2025!

Spanning an impressive 60,000 square feet across eight floors, this architectural masterpiece redefined the retail landscape of Bangladesh. It replaced the Aarong outlet in Dhanmondi 2, just 400 metres from the previous location.

The flagship destination offered an unparalleled shopping experience, featuring an exquisite collection of fashion, accessories, home décor, and footwear. A dedicated childrenswear section included a whimsical, forest-themed playpen, providing little ones with an interactive retreat while parents shopped with ease. The outlet also brought together Aarong’s distinguished sub-brands—TAAGA, TAAGA MAN, HERSTORY by Aarong, and Aarong Earth—ensuring a carefully curated selection for every shopper.

Beyond shopping, the store paid tribute to Bangladesh’s rich artistic heritage, showcasing breathtaking craft installations. The awe-inspiring four-storey Nakshi Kantha and Clay Pottery Wall brought traditional craftsmanship to life in a contemporary form, while the handcrafted chandelier above added a mesmerising touch, turning the space into an immersive experience.

To make each visit even more special, The Orange Parrot, our in-house restaurant (opening soon) on the seventh floor, offers a unique fusion of Bangladeshi cuisine with a creative twist. With stunning views of Dhanmondi from its serene terrace, it became the perfect spot to unwind after shopping or indulge in a gourmet meal.

Arriving just in time for Eid-ul-Fitr, the outlet became a landmark retail destination, offering a world-class shopping experience where the diverse crafts of Bangladesh told stories of artistry, community, and culture—of people’s lives, dreams, and aspirations.
